Black Prophet (Ghana)
Black Prophet is a very talented singer from Ghana. His reggae background combined with African elements gives a very unique sound. He came to Europe for the first time in 2003 on invitation by Black Star Foundation. He stayed in Europe for many years, working with his own band Thunder Strike. Now he is back with a brand new album!
 
Biography
Since he became a Rasta Kenneth Wilberforce Zonto Bossman is also called Black Prophet. When he was young, he left his village Ejobee in the Eastern part of Ghana to go to the capital city Accra. When he was 15 years old, he became the leader and singer of the Ghanaian reggae band Vibration Boys. The band changed their name into Vibration Kings and they released an album called 'Captivity' in 1996.

In 1998 he released his solo album 'No Pain No Gain', a mixture Reggae and African Hip Hop tracks.

Summer 2003 the singer/songwriter came to Europe for the first time on invitation by Black Star Foundation. He made his first tour and performed at various festivals in the Netherlands and Belgium. Since then, the talented artist lived and worked in Holland, Germany and in his motherland Ghana.

In 2006 he released the Album ‘Legal Stranger’ which contains hits like ‘Mama Africa’, ‘Tell Me Why’ and ‘Doubting Me’, which was nominated ‘Best Reggae Song of the Year’ at the Ghana National Music Award 2006.

In 2008, his third album 'Prophecy' was released. During his European tour with the Jamaican artist Turbulence (February 2012) Black Prophet showcased another album 'Tribulations', which offers a unique fusion of African and Jamaican Reggae elements and hip hop beats. This album also features the great Jamaican Reggae artist Capleton and the single 'Good Feeling' produced by the world-renowned producer Dean Fraser. This collaboration was recorded during Black Prophet’s first visit to Kingston, Jamaica in 2010.

In 2010 he won the Benelux Reggae Contest and not long after that he released his album Tribulations (June 2011).

His unique harmonious reggae beat combined with his African roots, will garantee you a special sound and a spectacular show.
