Sugar & Spice is a regular reggae event in The Sugarfactory in Amsterdam (Holland) brought to you by Back-A-Wall Movement, Black Star Foundation and Leah Rosier.

Sugar & Spice, it's so nice!! This will be the 8th edition of Sugar & Spice. Resident crew: Back-A-Wall Movement, Black Star Sound, MC Jahforth and Leah Rosier.

Special guests: Rapha Pico, Jr. Kenna and Joggo!

Entrance fee is 5 only. There is a big smoking / exhibition area upstairs.

Be early, party more! Sugar & Spice takes place from 20:00 till 24:00, so be on time. From midnight there will be another (dance) event, but visitors can stay if they want.

Joggo introduced himself to the reggae audience in 2008 after the release off the mixtape Beware. The song Beware (Kingdom riddim) had a huge international impact and peaked at the #2 position in the official German reggae charts for weeks.
 

 
Junior Kenna (The Netherlands)
The young and talented reggae/dancehall artist Jr. Kenna is born and raised with music. From an early age on Junior Kenna was inspired to get involved in music by his mum, uncles, cousins and father (Kendread) who are all performing artists for many years. Jr. Kenna is raised by Surinam and Indonesian parents.
 

 
Rapha Pico (The Netherlands)
Some people are born with music in their genes, a heritage which will guide their future life no matter what. Raphael is like that, a young singer with lots of talent.

Leah is a young female reggae artist from Amsterdam (Holland)! She started to write, compose and record her own songs in 2010 and she is already perfoming on different stages, in both Holland and abroad.

Back-a-Wall Movement is a reggae soundsystem with a positive message. For more than 15 years Papa Hobbol and Remy Rootical are playing their records, strictly vinyl and mostly 7".
 

 
Black Star Sound (The Netherlands)
Black Star Sound is a roots reggae sound, based in Amsterdam (Holland). Selector Den-Den loves vinyl and has a huge 7-single collection. Black Star Sound also has a nice dubplate selection box! On stage Den-Den is often assisted by MC's and talented singers. Besides Jamaican riddims Black Star Sound also plays their own productions.

Jahforth is a Jamaican singer/MC. He is a real 'nyabinghi roots man'. Spiritual influences can be heard when he is on the mic. Since 2014 Jahforth can be seen and heard regularly with Black Star Sound!

Michelle Boekhout van Solinge is the founder of Black Star Foundation. She is mostly working on management and bookings for artists/bands, (online) promotion, organisation of events and development of new talent. Michelle is also giving musical lectures and is MC for Black Star Sound!
