Rastaplas 2007
Sunday September 2, 2007 from 11.00 till 22.00 in Noord Aa (Zoetermeer)

This year Rastaplas will take place for the 4th time, on Sunday September 2nd. The festival area is the beach of the recreational area 'Noord-Aa' in Zoetermeer. Reggaelovers, kids, dogs, everyone is welcome and it's also for free!

The goal of Stichting Rastaplas is to give new talents from the region of the Haque the possibility to present themselves amongst proffesionals for a big audience. There will be different areas for soundsystems including one mainstage for live reggae bands.

Last year Black Star Foundation was also present in a big army tent with music by DJ Den-Den and singers Osagyefo (Ghana) and Brother Marcus (Holland). This year Osagyefo will perform on stage with the Poor Man Friend band!

Programm Rastaplas 2007:
Mainstage: Misty Basement, Shain Band, Inner Visions (Virgin Islands) and Poor Man Friend meets Osagyefo (Ghana)! Robbie Roots will also announce the winner of the Dutch Reggae Awards.

Osagyefo and Poor Man Friend band start at 20:00 at the main stage.

Osagyefo (Ghana)
Osagyefo is a Ghanaian top dj and singer. In his lyrics he criticizes politics and social injustice with a Bantonstyle voice. Black Star Foundation invited him to come to Holland 3 times, for shows and to release his debut album Blaze Fire.

Poor Man Friend is making and spreading authentic Reggae that sounds Jamaican. A multicultural collective playing popular Jamaican Reggae riddims besides their own unique Reggae material. Poor Man Friend is a foundation based on Irie Reggae vibes, pure for pleasure and nothing more.
