For the first time in history, the Netherlands Wind Ensemble has been on the beautiful island of Jamaica, steeped in Reggae music. The ensemble has travelled inland to search, find and make music together artists in the ghettos of Kingston: locally famous musicians and young emerging talents. Reggae, Ska and much more. A number of these experienced and young heroes will join the ensemble on a tour along the Dutch stages. During the performance, contact is also made with Jamaican musicians, who play live from the island, projected on a large screen together with the Wind Ensemble on stage. You imagine yourself in Jamaica: intoxicating, moving and swinging!
