Reggae on the Beach 2006

And off course this year Black Star Foundation and El Bongo are organising another Reggae on the Beach on the beach of Blijburg in Amsterdam!

We will start at 15:00 with different DJ`s and soundsystems: DJ Den-Den (Black Star Sound) and DubTuan & Ital Youth (Covenant Soundsystem) will spin their relaxed reggae and dancehall records and this year also the crew of King Shiloh will be there!

There are 2 different live acts on the programm: the Antillian band 'Orange Grove' with a mix of reggae, ska, rap and rock, and 'Smiley' who will give a very energetic show on stage.

Late at night there are 2 great guest singers who will rock the place so you will dance untill you drop! First of all Brother Marcus (Holland) with his surprising warm and soft voice and the European debute show of Osagyefo (Ghana) with his Banton style voice. The party goes on till 03.00!

Black Star Foundation organizes different concerts and festivals with and for African artists. Half of the income of Reggae on the Beach goes to Black Star Foundation and all revenues of Black Star Foundation are used to support African artists (like Osagyefo from Ghana). Therefore the entrance fee for Reggae on the Beach will be 5 euro (after 22:00).
