Hit The Road in Jamaica (2012)
BNN broadcasted a TV- programme 'Hit the Road' in September 2012. Michelle (Black Star Foundation) went to Kingston (Jamaica) together with a Dutch filmcrew, Chris Zegers (Dutch presenter) and Tim Knol (Dutch singer/songwriter)!
Tim Knol meets Jamaican reggae band Unit3 and together with their band leader Carron McGibbon, they explore Kingston town. They go to Alpha Boys School, Bob Marley Museum and to Tuff Gong Studios to re-records Tim Knol's biggest hit Sam in reggae style. They also buy records at Techniques Recordstore, visit Stone Love Soundsystem party Weddy Weddy Wednesdays and Tim Knol will meet reggae legend Toots Hibbert!
'Hit the Road' is broadcasted on Dutch national TV, starting September 5 2012. Every Wednesday at 21:15 at BNN NL3.
