Sugar & Spice: Lovely Girl release party!

Sugar & Spice is a new reggae event in The Sugarfactory in Amsterdam (Holland) brought to you by Back-A-Wall Movement, Black Star Foundation and Leah Rosier.

The second edition of Sugar & Spice will be the official release party for Lovely Girl riddim (Black Star label) including the release of the new single and videoclip by Leah Rosier. Also Rapha Pico live on stage and more special guests... Bredda Marcus and Mr. Aya will be present as well. It's nice like Sugar & Spice!

Lovely Girl is written and recorded years ago for the album Blaze Fire by Osagyefo (Black Star label, 2007). The music is written by Osagyefo (Ghana), Tuff Lion (Virgin Islands) and Black Star producer Asher-E (Holland). In the meantime, different International artists made a version on Lovely Girl riddim, like Lutan Fyah, Spectacular and Vivian Jones (Jamaica), Mr. Aya and Jr. Yellam (France), Joggo, K-Wida, Bredda Marcus and Leah Rosier (Holland).

Entrance fee is 5 only. All visitors will receive a free Sugar & Spice mixtape! There is a big smoking/exhibition area upstairs.

Be early! Sugar & Spice takes place from 20:00 till 24:00, so be on time. From midnight there will be another (dance) event, but visitors can stay if they want.

Mr. Aya (France)
Mr. Aya is a sing jay from the North of France. In 2011 Mr. Aya released his first album and in 2013 be won the Benelux Reggae Contest for MCs and singers!
 

 
Bredda Marcus (The Netherlands)
Winner of the Dutch Reggae Award 2006. Bredda Marcus was not only the singer, but also the spirit behind the Dutch reggae band The Irie Connection, who has been playing together for more than 20 years. Since 2006 Marcus is also a regular singer for Black Star Sound.
 

 
Leah Rosier (The Netherlands)
Leah is a young female reggae artist from Amsterdam (Holland)! She started to write, compose and record her own songs in 2010 and she is already perfoming on different stages, in both Holland and abroad.
 

 
Rapha Pico (The Netherlands)
Some people are born with music in their genes, a heritage which will guide their future life no matter what. Raphael is like that, a young singer with lots of talent.

Michelle Boekhout van Solinge is the founder of Black Star Foundation. She is mostly working on management and bookings for artists/bands, (online) promotion, organisation of events and development of new talent. Michelle is also giving musical lectures and is MC for Black Star Sound!
 

 
Jahforth (Jamaica/Holland)
Jahforth is a Jamaican singer/MC. He is a real 'nyabinghi roots man'. Spiritual influences can be heard when he is on the mic. Since 2014 Jahforth can be seen and heard regularly with Black Star Sound!

Black Star Sound is a roots reggae sound, based in Amsterdam (Holland). Selector Den-Den loves vinyl and has a huge 7-single collection. Black Star Sound also has a nice dubplate selection box! On stage Den-Den is often assisted by MC's and talented singers. Besides Jamaican riddims Black Star Sound also plays their own productions.
